Catch Up

All this time has passed and I can tell you that a lot has been done. For the past couple months I've been without a job and sequestering myself to the confines of the BYU Library. While at the library I've been finishing up 3 online courses to complete all the requirements for my degree at BYU. Needless to say, I did it. I finished up all my coursework and last Friday I walked and received my diploma. It was such a good experience. Especially to have my folks come down from WA. to see it. I'm really grateful to have it done with so that now I can focus on moving on with my life. I told my friend Jory that since finishing up school here I have really felt a huge weight lifted from my shoulders.
I now have to unique opportunity of worrying about a whole new set of problems. I'm attending the Fashion Institute of Design in L.A. CA and am trying to move down by the end of August. Classes wont start until Oct. but it would be nice to get down there and start putting a new life together. I'm not sure how everything is going to work out with living arrangements but I guess it will all work out somehow.... It always does. As you would suspect living in CA does not look like it's going to be an easy, or cheap experience. I'm trying to work out living arrangements with a cool guy I met in the singles ward, and hopefully it will all work out.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the cost of school and living down there and and convincing myself it's for the greater good.
I've been trying to stay busy lately, what with moving and all. Which means I've been doing quite a bit of cleaning and packing. My brother Aaron felt it would be convenient for him to leave the week before we move out so yours truly will be taking care of his stuff as well. Blurgh.

Weeks Past

Well, I guess another few weeks have past and it's time to play catch up on my life. I've been a bit under the weather for the past week and a half and I'm really tired of being sick. I saw a Dr. today and she says that because I've waited so long to seek treatment that I might as well just wait another few days and see if it doesn't just go away by itself. I've been going to work, full hours, and today decided that if I don't rest it will take forever to get well. Unfortunately, resting for me is cleaning and doing art projects which true, are less strenuous but still not resting. How did I become and early to bed early to rise guy?
A few weeks ago my friend Erin and I went to SF CA to see the sights and hang out for a while. We had a blast and saw so many things. If we're friends on Facebook you can check out all the pictures. We went to a Giants game, took a boat to Alcatraz, biked over the Golden Gate Bridge and so much more. I'm really glad we were able to get a way and relax.
I just sent my scholarship packet to FIDM and am praying I win this one. If I can get this scholarship I'll have most of my financial business in order. I really should have taken pictures of my project but I didn't but I do have a couple pictures of all the rough draft sketches. I'm really looking forward to moving to LA and starting my career and my life.

Another day is paradise, except in my paradise it most certainly does not snow! That's right I woke up to more snow here in Utah. The week in review was alright now that I think about it. Is it weird that most people can't remember what they did the week before? Maybe I should start doing something specific every week to help remind me of all the things I did that week. It was such a lovely day on Saturday and as soon as I jetted from work I went out to the Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork for Holi Fest. There was traffic all the way down there and as I dodged cars and pedestrians I finally found a place to park but unfortunately had to walk about a mile to get to the temple. I walked/ran and arrived just minutes before the "coloring" began. It was so amazing, as always. I have attended this particular festival almost every year that I've been living in Utah. It's so much fun. It's supposed to represent the death of winter but apparently winter did not get the memo.
I'm looking forward to the next couple weeks because next weekend I'm having a party to have my peoples look at some of my sketches so I can get some feedback as to which ones I should submit for a major scholarship for Fashion School. Then the weekend after that I'll be going to San Fran with my friend Erin for a break from Provo. In May I'll be attending my older brother Jared's law school graduation which is exciting because I love seeing my niece and nephew and my folks will be down there as well. In June my bff Kyle is getting married in Boston so it looks like I'll be flying out for the wedding. Life is going to get pretty busy between projects, work and traveling.
I honestly just can't wait to get out of Provo so my life can finally start.

At Last

I'm not really sure how this is going to work, but I suppose that's the magic of blogging. My friends all suggested doing this but I'd like to put out a few disclaimers before this adventure gets underway. I'm pretty sure I'm boring. I do seem to have a nack for blowing things out of proportion and finding myself 10ft. off the ground somehow. Maybe my stories will help you understand where I come from, or maybe it will simply confirm the fact that I'm quite insane. Either way I look forward to trying this out. I may need suggestions every once in a while as to what you would like me to write on. I write more when I have a purpose for writing and I would rather write for others than for myself. Anyways, this is where I will begin. Gentlemen start your engines.
